How to Ship a Jade Plant

What you will need:

Box – the thicker the better and large enough to allow 3-4 inches extra around the plant. Also helpful if the box has arrows up to make sure the plant is always upright- you can also add the arrows with permanent marker.
Packaging tape
Packing peanuts
Tissue paper

Step 1.

We suggest that you have the plant potted for the best results. If you are not able to pot the plant we suggest that you put moist paper towels around the roots of the plant and inclose it in a zip lock bag. If you are using a pot make sure that the plant has been recently watered.

Step 2.

Place tape on the bottom of the pot or ziploc bag to hold the plant firmly in the middle of the box. Add tissue paper around the branches to make sure that they do not feel any outside pressure and are protected. Make sure that the box has 3-4 inches of space on the sides and top of the plant.

Step 3.

Add packing peanuts to the entire box and make sure that the top is filled to just above the top to create minimum pressure. Tape the box shut and use a “live plant” sticker or write it on the box. Make sure that you use enough packing peanuts around the sides of the plant so that it will not ship during the journey. Don’t skimp on peanuts and your plant will love you for it.
