What you need to know when using UPS® on ParcelPath

How to purchase UPS labels on ParcelPath

Creating a UPS label on ParcelPath is simple. Go to the top of the screen and click on the orange button labeled “Create Shipment.” From the drop-down, choose “Single Shipment.” Once on this page, you will select UPS for the shipping carrier. Now enter your recipient address information and fill out the package information and the shipping date. Now continue to “Select Service” to see the rates.

Now that you are on the select service page, you will see that UPS Ground is set as the default shipping option because it is the cheapest. This UPS® Ground service is a drop-down menu and will give all options of UPS services, associated rates, and delivery day estimates.

What are the different UPS services ParcelPath offers?

UPS Domestic services

  • UPS® Ground: This shipping option provides the most cost-effective guaranteed service with delivery in one to five business days. This dependable and economical option for your daily shipments. This service is available in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
  • UPS Express Critical®: This service is for urgent and emergency shipping and is available 24-hours a day, 365 days per year. The destination will auto-determine the best route and put it on the next available flight. This service level can use multiple transportation methods and is considered white-glove. As this service level has the highest priority, it can also come with an expensive shipping cost.
  • UPS Next Day Air®: This shipping option guarantees next business day delivery. This priority is a time-definitive service and includes free packaging for your convenience, depending on the item’s size.
  • UPS Next Day Air® categories: Early and Saver are the options for delivery times when using next-day shipping. Early guarantees delivery by the next business day at 8 am to all major cities in the continental 48 states. Saver guarantees afternoon delivery to commercial destinations by 4:30 pm and deliveries to residential customers by the end of the day.
  • UPS 2nd Day Air A.M.®: Guaranteed early morning delivery for second business day shipments. This priority level is delivered by 10:30 am or 12 pm to most major US destinations. You will see this option offered if your package is eligible.
  • UPS 2nd Day Air ®: This option is available on ParcelPath for all shipments, and it guarantees delivery by the 2nd business day.
  • UPS 3 Day Select®: This shipping option delivers in three days within the 48 contiguous US states, not including Alaska or Hawaii. Delivery is guaranteed in three days or less.

International UPS services

  • UPS® Standard – UPS Standard is one of the best and most affordable ways to send a UPS shipment for non-urgent packages between Canada, and Mexico. The delivery time is based on the origin and destination. Shipments will typically arrive within 4-7 business days.
  • UPS Worldwide Expedited® – This is a UPS shipping option that provides reliable delivery for international shipments. This service is for non-emergency shipments.

    Delivery times for items exported from within the US:

    • UPS® Standard to Canada – Delivery within two business days
    • UPS® Standard to Mexico – Delivery in 2-3 business days
    • Europe – Delivery in 3-4 business days
    • Latin America & Asia – Delivery in 4-5 business days
  • UPS Worldwide Saver® – This option offers Guaranteed 1-3 day delivery by the end of the day. Next day to Canada, two days to Mexico, Latin America, and Europe, and three days to the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

  • UPS Worldwide Express® – This service offers delivery of packages to 140 countries and territories. It is a good option for international shipping that needs to be timely. This priority level is not the fastest option or the slowest option. Still, it is a cost-effective and time-sensitive option.

How to track UPS shipments on ParcelPath

All UPS packages shipped on ParcelPath come with a tracking number located on your shipments page under shipping on the left-hand side of the website. You can click on the tracking number, and it will take you to the full description of your package in transit. You can also copy the tracking number that always starts with 1Z and paste it into the tracking application on UPS.com.

Declared value for UPS labels

All UPS shipping labels purchased on ParcelPath have $100 of declared value included in the cost of shipping. See our section on filing a claim to learn more about what is needed to collect on your decalred value claim.

How to schedule a pickup on ParcelPath

If you would like UPS to come to your house and pick up your packages, this is easy with ParcelPath. Having a package picked up is not free, but it can be a great convenience when needed. To schedule a pickup, go to Shipping>Schedule A Pickup. At the top, click on “Create Pickup” and then select UPS under carrier information. Now you can use your primary location or set up an alternate pickup location. Then click Schedule at the bottom.

Where can I drop off my UPS packages when using ParcelPath?

UPS has over 22,000 locations in the US where you can drop off your packages. There is no cost to drop at The UPS Store®, UPS Drop Boxes, and Access Point® locations. You can drop off shipments at Advanced Auto Parts, CVS Pharmacy, Michaels, and many independent shipping companies like mail boxes etc.

How do I refund a UPS label on ParcelPath?

It is easy to refund a UPS package on ParcelPath. Go to “Shipping” on the left-hand side of the site and click on “Shipments.” Here you will see all of your packages listed. At the right of the shipment, you will see a tab called “Actions.” Under the actions tab, click on the Eye icon and scroll to the bottom of that page. Simply click the “Refund” button, and you are done.

Note: Refunded packages have a 15-day hold on funds used to purchase the shipment. At the end of 15 days, you will see the credit added to your ParcelPath account. This hold is because the label is still active and can still be used.
