Chronopost Locations: Drop-Off, Pickup, and Hours Guide

Ship Smarter and Save More with ParcelPath!

The Chronopost locations page on ParcelPath gives you the carrier’s official locator link, the location-type breakdown (full-service, retail partner, locker, drop box), the search methods that work for the network, and the hours pattern so you can plan a drop-off without driving to a closed point. ParcelPath does not republish the Chronopost locator data here on the carrier hub because Chronopost’s own locator is the authoritative source and updates as points open, close, or change hours.

Where to Search for Chronopost Locations

Use Chronopost’s own locator at https://www.chronopost.fr/ for the live, address-level search. Enter a ZIP code, postcode, or street address and the locator returns the closest points sorted by proximity with hours and accepted services. The Chronopost locator is the only authoritative source for whether a specific point accepts a specific service tier on a specific day — point-level details change frequently and ParcelPath does not mirror that data here.

Chronopost Locations Types

Chronopost supports several distinct location types, and the right one for a given parcel depends on whether you need full-service counter help, a quick drop-off, or a 24/7 access point:

  • Chronopost relais (retail drop-off / pickup)
  • Chronopost agency (B2B + full-service)
  • Chrono drop box (limited)

Chronopost Locations Network Coverage

over 12,000 Chronopost relais points across France, in retailers like tabacs, presse, and épiceries — concentrated in urban and suburban France with continued coverage in rural communes through La Poste’s network handoff. The locator’s address-level search is the only reliable way to confirm what’s near a specific origin or destination — the coverage above is the network-level shape, not a guarantee that any given ZIP has every location type within walking distance.

How to search effectively

The locator accepts postcode (code postal), city, or address on chronopost.fr; the locator returns relais points and agencies separately with hours filters. For an outbound parcel, search by your origin ZIP or address; for an inbound parcel that you want to redirect to a pickup point, search by the destination ZIP. If the closest point doesn’t accept the service tier you booked through ParcelPath (Express drop-off vs Ground drop-off, for example), the locator’s service-type filter will surface the next-closest qualifying point.

Chronopost hours pattern

Hours Chronopost relais points run on retailer hours (typically 7am to 8pm Monday through Saturday, often closed Sunday in rural areas, open Sunday morning in cities); Chronopost agencies run weekday business hours (8am to 5pm typical); time-definite 13:00 and 18:00 services have hard cutoff times at the relais point that affect same-day outbound. Always check the locator for the exact hours of the specific point you plan to visit — partner-retailer hours change with the retailer’s own schedule and the locator data reflects those changes more reliably than carrier-published averages.

Chronopost-specific lingo to know

**Relais** is the retail drop-off / pickup point — most consumer Chronopost parcels move through relais. **Agence** is the full-service Chronopost facility — used for B2B pickup, large parcels, dangerous goods, and any service that exceeds relais limits. **Chronopost 13:00** and **Chronopost 18:00** are next-day delivery commitments with specific time slots; the locator shows which relais and agencies support those services.
